At Hoof 'n' Feather Farm LLC, we strive to be as sustainable and resourceful as possible. That's why we make the most of everything our farm provides—including the by-products from our processed cattle and hogs.

Janelle transforms these by-products into high-quality, handcrafted personal care items such as soap, body balm, sugar scrubs, and lip balm. We believe in honoring the animals we raise by using every part, and that includes rendering their fat into nourishing tallow and lard.

Tallow (rendered beef fat) and lard (rendered pork fat) are dry-rendered right here on the farm. We believe dry rendering is the best method to preserve the natural benefits of each fat. The process is done at least twice, ensuring the final product is a beautiful, pearly white block with no residue—just clean, pure goodness ready to be used in our products.

 We start with our farm-rendered tallow—rich in nutrients and deeply moisturizing— and whip it into a soft, silky texture that's a dream for your skin. From there, we craft a variety of nourishing products, each with its own unique blend of natural ingredients. 

Body Balm -

Infused with real Madagascar vanilla beans, our whipped tallow bod

 We start with our farm-rendered tallow—rich in nutrients and deeply moisturizing— and whip it into a soft, silky texture that's a dream for your skin. From there, we craft a variety of nourishing products, each with its own unique blend of natural ingredients. 

Body Balm -

Infused with real Madagascar vanilla beans, our whipped tallow body balm comes in three options:

• Unscented – for sensitive skin or those who prefer simplicity
• Lavender – with calming lavender essential oil
• Orange – brightened with sweet orange essential oil

Face Balm - 

Formulated especially for delicate facial skin. We blend our whipped tallow with:

• Castor oil – to gently cleanse and balance
• Rosehip oil – rich in vitamins and antioxidants
• Frankincense essential oil – known for its rejuvenating properties 

Sugar Scrub - 

A gentle exfoliating treat for your skin. We mix:

• Vanilla-infused whipped tallow
• Organic raw sugar
• Jojoba oil – for a smooth, hydrating finish
  Available plain or with orange essential oil for an extra citrusy  

Lip Balm - 

Deeply nourishing for dry or chapped lips. Made with:

• Tallow
• Beeswax
• Calendula-infused jojoba oil – to soothe and protect
• Peppermint essential oil – for a refreshing tingleboost.

All of our soaps are made in small batches using the cold process method, which helps preserve the nourishing qualities of each ingredient.

Our base formula includes:

• Lard and tallow – rendered right here on the farm for a rich, creamy lather
• Sunflower oil – for a light, moisturizing feel
• Castor oil – to boost bubbles and cleansing power
• Water

All of our soaps are made in small batches using the cold process method, which helps preserve the nourishing qualities of each ingredient.

Our base formula includes:

• Lard and tallow – rendered right here on the farm for a rich, creamy lather
• Sunflower oil – for a light, moisturizing feel
• Castor oil – to boost bubbles and cleansing power
• Water and sodium hydroxide – essential for traditional soapmaking
   

We also offer goat milk soap, made with raw milk from our own Nubian dairy herd. This variety is especially gentle and extra moisturizing - perfect for sensitive skin.

Our soap is gentle enough to be used as a shampoo bar as well. However, every hair type is different - so results may vary. Some may love the natural cleanse, while others may prefer a follow-up rinse with apple cider vinegar or conditioner.

Soaps are available in a variety of scents and natural colors to suit every preference.
